Rich and steeped in history from the Ringling family, Bird Key was purchased and developed in the 1950s by the Arvida Corporation.  Bird Key is composed of over 500 luxury single family home sites. Just under 300 of these home sites are waterfront many which are capable of supporting sailboats as well as large yachts making this a boater’s paradise.  Spectacular views of the water and downtown Sarasota are offered on selected waterfront home sites.

Surrounded by the crystal blue waters of Sarasota Bay, Bird Key is also home to one of Florida’s West Coast premier yachting clubs, the Bird Key Yacht Club.  Bird Key enjoys a premium location with St. Armands and Lido Key to its immediate west and downtown Sarasota just a short bridge ride to its east over the new fixed span Ringling Bridge.
